Repeat Prescriptions

Please telephone between 11am and 1pm or complete a request form (the tear off page opposite your last prescription) and put it in the “post box” just inside the surgery entrance. Prescriptions will be ready for collection the following working day in the surgery or alternatively you can arrange for the regular chemist to collect the prescription for you. The prescription will then be ready at the chemist 48 hours later.

Other prescriptions

Should you require a prescription for a medication that is not on your repeat prescription you should request this by telephoning the surgery. A special request will then be made to one of the Doctors who will decide if this medication is appropriate and may or may not issue it.  It is your responsibility to contact the surgery later that day to find out if this prescription has been issued, as it is impossible for the staff to contact every patient who has made a request. Please note that as a practice we do not issue prescriptions for antibiotics for coughs or colds without a patient being seen unless they suffer from COPD in which case it may be possible to request an antibiotic without being seen.

Online prescriptions

We now have a service in place which will allow you to order your repeat prescriptions online. In order to sign up for this service you need a valid e-mail address. More information on this service can be obtained from reception.
